The hero of her nation, Lettern, is memwiped. With her memories erased, so too is her love. Lettern's supporters are outraged, yet her lover -- no longer remembered and threatened with banishment -- is unfailing in his devotion.  

The perpetrators have sorely under estimated those who care for Lettern.  When teamed together, Marisa and the matriarch create a beacon of spirit and guile in the despairing gloom.  

As Lettern shoulders her rifle, not knowing its use, and marches off to war, the assassins of her warlord Sedge weave their invasion plot. They move to strike, unforeseen, the world Lettern, Marisa, and the matriarch are pledged to protect. 

The single person who stands in the way of the plot is a wanted criminal running from the only force that can thwart the invasion -- the Avarian Federation.
