In The Loch Norim, the focus shifts from Christina, the Amazonian warrior, to the surrounding characters who are growing into their own. Christina -- the Alon -- still has a huge role to play, but you experience the story through Lettern, Rachael, etc., who revere Alon and do not claim such trite familiarity as to call her by her first name. Still, there is a transition from the closeness and informality with Christina in The Citadel  to the aloof Alon in The Loch Norim.  P
