Backstory… I’ve been having a conversation with one of the readers on the ages of the characters, two characters specifically. The Loch Norim is a coming of age novel for multiple characters. The story after all, while science fiction, is about humans. It is also a “passing the baton” novel, both literally and figuratively for another character. As characters evolve their behaviors change, and how they are treated by others in the novel evolves as well. It’s a tricky thing to pull off -- from a writer’s perspective -- as a reader may think at first you are being inconsistent. This is a work in progress and your inputs are appreciated.
