Loch Norim Reader Response 1st Chapter

Yes, new readers who will not know who Christina is unless a significant amount of backstory is funneled in, and then an explanation as to why she is now referred to by her more weighty and honorary name of Alon. All references to Christina have been changed to Alon.

We do, in a few places, cite (no use) her true name of Christina Tara, particularly in reference to her brother Sedge.


Yes, one reader summed up the feedback of others with this quote, "I found myself getting a bit distracted with this first chapter. I realize it was the 'preview' chapter in the Citadel, so repeating details that we already know about the characters would have seemed redundant there. But as the opening chapter in this book..."

Another reader suggested I move the first chapter, and when you look at the chapter listing where chapters two to four focus on Lettern, moving chapter one and adding more background to it made a lot of sense.

Consider it done.


BTW, I always struggled with the opening chapter of the Dianis, A World In Turmoil novels. Owan Jbar, the lead novel in the Owan Conspiracy Series does not suffer from that ailment. One thread, no juggling, in we go.
